Globe Valve Application

Globe valves are primarily utilized as precision control valves where expert throttling or both throttling and shut-off are crucially required. While they can also be used for on-off service, their design usually leads to a pressure drop thus is often reserved for on-off applications where the valve's normal closed state makes pressure drop negligible when open. These uni-directional valves see ordinary use with flow and pressure beneath the disc.
