They are also perfect for on-off service, though the design may introduce inherent pressure drops. Typically, they are used in scenarios where the valve is normally closed, and pressure drops are negligible when open. These uni-directional valves are engineered for normal applications with flow and pressure positioned under the disc. GLT cast steel globe valves are meticulously crafted in outside screw and yoke designs with expansive ports and robust discs for heavy-duty performance.
